Aja Restaurant - Albert Park

This restaurant is worth raving about to your friends and family! We came here for a birthday dinner with 10 people and all I can say was that the service

I can see why Aja is in the Age Good Food Guide 2012. We had the joy of discovering Aja last night as we strolled around the Albert Park Festival.

Went to Aja on a Wednesday evening for dinner with my husband. We live in the area plus had an entertainment voucher to use so thought we would give it a go. We were not disappointed! We had spring rolls for our entree - they were fresh and tasty. We then shared the Peking duck for main (which is also the Wednesday night special) which was delicious and a huge portion. Lastly, we had roti bread with satay sauce which was amazing! Staff were friendly and despite the entire suburb losing power for 20mins or so - they remained helpful and apologised for an issue out of their control.Only minor issues was firstly the wine not being served at the table. My hubby believes if it's not a house wine you are ordering, wine should be poured at the table so you can see you are getting what you actually ordered. Secondly they only provided a 10% discount when it should have been 25%. When pointed out they corrected immediately. Neither issue would prevent us going back - we would certainly return.

Enjoyed a great meal and good service. Very nice vegetarian lakhsa, excellent lemon chicken und a good third dish. We were promptly and competently served. We also enjoyed the wine from an extensive wine list and super desserts. We will come again.

This Restaurant is actually in Albert Park ! It ranks within my Top-10 restaurants in the whole of Melbourne-Victoria. Classy settings. Warm, elegant ambience. Good service. Beautifully presented quality meals which tickled ALL my taste sensations. Indeed a top-shelf dining experience all round - quality, quality, quality ... and as such, quantity is usually lacking, but not here at AJA - meals are of substantial sizes! Extremely reasonably prices for the food on offer here!
