The dishes were well presented, with our dinner plates pre-heated; its a small, but often overlooked detail that in a cold climate, makes all the difference. We started with steamed, Dim Sims, then shared Crystal Prawns and Black Pepper Lamb. Both sumptuous and delicious. It made for a warm interlude, in what was otherwise, a cold, rainy, winter's day
The proprietor of our B&B recommended it and a few others in the area. The pub seemed typically Nii's and the Italian place was booked, so we gave it a try. We had the sweet corn soup, short soup and satay combo. The food was fine. It was peaceful and the staff was attentive.
Have been to Malayan Orchid with a small group of people twice now- we were all very impressed on both occasions. The menu is eclectic - something for everyone - and the food is really good. The ambiance is the restaurant is lovely and the service is consistently excellent.
Party of six went for dinner including two children. Service was good and the food was solid but I thought it was very overpriced. We had no problems with what we ordered and enjoyed what we ate but did experience bill shock. I would not go here again as there are better options in Bendigo.
A top Asian style restaurant. Had the seafood combination. Don't mind paying a bit more when you see all of the accolades on the wall. Actually had fresh shiitake mushrooms. No I didn't try any of the other game on menu. I come from part of the country where I know what roo is killed for human consumption ... yuk yuk yuk. Just hope it is marinated.
