Chiquín - Buenos Aires

We went here as 2 families with 4 kids. They were very welcoming of our group. It seemed like we were the only English speaking guests there, which I took as a good sign. Good steaks, good sides, nice service, no tourists (other than us). All in all we had a good experience and would go back.

This was my first experience of both an Argentine parilla and steak. I wasnt let down on either account. Set in the theatre district, it was empty when we went in for dinner at 8pm but soon picked up with a steady stream of customers, some of whom appeared to be regulars. We ordered the boneless rib eye steak with sides of mixed veg, fried potatoes, and pumpkin mash. The steak was beautifully cooked and upon my first bite I understood why people say Argentine steaks literally melt in the mouth. The side orders were ample in portion and the food was washed down with a wonderful quality bottle of Malbec. The interior of the restaurant felt we had gone back to the 20s or 30s - a good thing as the wooden decor gave it a warm homely feel in which to have dinner. Highly recommended with prices in the mid to upper range. In summary, the steak is well worth the price. Enjoy!

Had diñner here on our first night in Argentina and it was delicious. Tiger was our waiter or perhaps guide would be a better description. He recommended the wine and helped us with our meal choices. They were both superb. We will definitely try to come back.

This place was close to our hotel and had a great review. What an incredible meal. I had the Bife De Chorizo and it was cooked perfect and tasted great. I added the chimichurri sauce and it couldnt have been better. My wife had the Ensalda De Roqueford. Nice size and full of cheese. The papas were great and was the wine (Malbec of course). We will be passing through in November and will be back for sure!!!!!!

This is a traditional Buenos Aires restaurant conveniently located at just one block from Corrientes Avenue and five blocks from the Obelisco.It is going back to the 1920's but on a very well kept place. The service is excellent and the food terrific. Every time I go to Buenos Aires I amke a point to eat one or two nights at this restaurant. I highly recommend the meat dishes, all great.
