Akropolis Griechisches Restaurant

Recommended by a German, not one you would come across if you didn't know about it. It's on a residential estate and was a 15 minute walk from our Hotel (Best Western). We didn't book, it was very busy and there were a lot of families. As we found all over in Detmold, the menu is only in German and the waitress didn't speak English. You do need some basic understanding of German before ordering food. That said, we have lived in Germany before and knew what we wanted the food was very good and despite it being busy we didn't have too long to wait. I would recommend trying this restaurant if you like Greek food.

A spontaneous dinner for two. As always the food here is great, and as always we always over do the starter consequently making the main meal a struggle. This is a great restaurant and is well visited every day of the week. Have eaten here many times over the years and will continue to do so for many years to come...

General We talked about food in the acquaintance. A good friend recommended the Greeks in the Bachstraße. We always go to Elena to locate. After we had reserved a table, we came there in time. I have a good table. There are many of us talking to your staff very loudly. The music went down. The order was accepted by the son. We found the servant as not exactly attractive. There were no appetizers and no dessert. We observed that in the neighboring table free little dessert natural yogurt was given with honey. The food We ordered a plate for 2 persons and a large bottle of mineral water. Before dinner we received two Uso. Then the salad plate came. We've been waiting for dinner for a long time. Others were served faster because they were known. The plate was very plentiful that we took a large part home. The food was very good and the Zaziki was really 1A. The ambience The restaurant is very well furnished. Greek with red/orange and yellow padding. It was also generous of the place. In any case better than at the place with the marble tables where the plate gets the same cold. Also our plate was for 2 people on a warm-up plate, which kept the whole food nicely warm.

Super service, very tasty. Can recommend it to everyone. The owners place a lot of value on family flair. I ate with friends last Christmas. It was very beautiful every year.

Delicious, reasonable price, good service. You can't complain. Great!
