Przekaż informację zwrotnąOur first time back in 10 years, but the traditional Mexican pleasure and joy is the same. We made a late afternoon arrival so we chose the dining room rather than the bar. The difference, table cloths in the dining room. Our food choices were excellent as we expected, but of course far more food quantity in each preparation than we expected. Our every Mexican preparation was excellent, I had the fish baked with almond crust, terrific. My wife had 8 taquitos of carne suaderos, and our friend had a beautiful, very tender beef filet that was about twice as large as expected. The filet cooked to perfection. Having lived in Mexico for 15 years, I finally learned to order a “proper sized” tequila. I had been ordering “caballitos”, and now I will be ordering “Percherones” of tequila. You never stop learning.
My wife and I visited around 7:30 PM for a weeknight dinner. We were first timers. There were two other people in the restaurant.The wait staff had limited English but provided an English menu and helped us understand our selections. We chose an octopus and shrimp dish that was spicy and flavorful and a good size portion. The food was fine but the eagerness and attentiveness of the stff made it a fun evening. The restaurant has been in the same location since 1904 and is a standard for the area.
When you go to a cantina you expect great service above all, but here you have an average service as well as average food. Nothing outstanding.
Very very good! food, service and ambience is perfect and a reflection of the real traditional Mexican Cantina. Like in most Cantinas if you ask for a drink you 'll get the days botana for free and be sure that it will be very good.
Dont miss to try tribilin plate, that is a shrimp and meat filet preparation. Margaritas was great and the environment was let you feel like in the past. Great service
