Upon entering the restaurant, I was warmly greeted by several patrons speaking softly. I took a seat and waited for someone to assist me. Eventually, a staff member came by and informed me that it was a buffet. They guided me through the offerings while naming each item, but it wasn’t entirely clear which ones were vegan. I felt hesitant to ask for clarification, given the expected quiet ambiance. The buffet resembled a typical hotel breakfast spread. The unique vegan options included: vegan spreads, two types of vegan yogurt, parsnips, a complete selection of plant-based milks— including chocolate soy milk— veggie patties, and a delightful chocolate zucchini bread. For vegetarians, there were pre-packaged omelets, cheese, butter, muffins, and other items. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend going out of your way to have a vegan breakfast here, as I wasn't particularly impressed. I didn't try any other meals, and I'm not inclined to return anytime soon.
Large, picturesque and historical location. good amount of vegan options.
When they go to the restaurant of the monastery of the augustine on a Sunday night for dinner, they are served a buffet. in this special night there were only 3 items on the buffet that were not vegan. the raw broccoli salad was amazing as the remaining dishes.
The food, service, and ambiance are all outstanding. While it's a bit expensive, it's definitely worth it. I would give it five stars if possible!
